The
Sixth Sense LT100 Hand-Held Infrared
Thermometer is the best value available anywhere in gun-style
units under $100. We went directly to the manufacturer… the
same manufacturer that supplies some of the top name brands in
infrared thermometers. Compare to Raytek’s MT2, MT4 & MT6;
Extech’s IR201, 42500, and 42510; and Fluke’s 62 Mini. The
LT100 offers more features than most of these models at a
lower price, and comes with a free rugged nylon holster! It’s
compact, tough, accurate, and looks great! Don’t pay more for
the name – get the same quality for less with our own Sixth
Sense LT100 at Infrared USA.
Technology Explained:
Sixth-Sense infrared
thermometers measure temperature from a distance by detecting
the amount of thermal electromagnetic radiation emitted from
the object being measured. This allows users to accurately
measure surface temperatures in hazardous or hard-to-reach
places, or other situations in which non-contact temperature
measurement is desirable. Infrared thermometer technology is
useful in a wide range of applications – including industrial,
laboratory, food service, fire fighting, hobby and home use.
While the technology is relatively simple, the myriad of names
given to these devices can be confusing. “Laser Thermometers”
makes reference to the laser that helps aim the thermometer.
“IR Sensors” and “IR Thermometers” make use of a common
abbreviation for “infrared”. “Non-Contact Thermometers” is
descriptive of the device’s ability to measure temperature
from a distance. “Radiation Pyrometers” is a
scientific/technical term for these
devices. |
