FEATURES |
- The Rotor-X paddlewheel flow sensor has
the widest range of flow measurement in plastic pipes—from 1 GPM in 1/2" pipe to 8,000
GPM in 18" pipe. It can be coupled with a self-powered flowmeter to provide inexpensive flow-monitoring, or with any of the powered
flow-control instruments for a wide variety of applications.
- Rotor-X measures flow rate and volume. The patented "open
cell" rotor construction ensures a linear, repeatable output up to
20 fps, with linearity of ±1% of full scale.
- A 25-foot cable is standard and transmits up to 200 feet
without amplifications. It's rated for 220°F at 25 psi and 70°F at
200 psi.
- This sensor requires the installation fitting shown on page
312.
APPLICATIONS
-

Simple to
install with time-honored reliable performance, Model 515 Rotor-X
paddlewheel flow sensors are highly repeatable, rugged sensors
that offer exceptional value with little or no maintenance. The
output signal of the Model 515 is a sinusoidal frequency capable
of driving a self-powered flowmeter (Model 5090). The wide dynamic
flow range of 0.3 to 6m/s (1 to 20 ft/s) allows the sensor to
measure liquid flow rates in full pipes and can be used in low
pressure systems.
The Model 515 sensors are offered in a variety of materials for a
wide range of pipe sizes and insertion configurations. The many
material choices include PP, PVDF, and Tefzel make this model
highly versatile and chemically compatible to may liquid process
solutions. Sensors can be installed in up to DN900 (36 in.) pipes
using Signet's comprehensive line of custom fittings. These custom
fittings, which include tees, saddles, and weldolets, set the
sensor to the proper insertion depth into the process flow. The
sensors are also offered in configurations for wet-tap and
intrinsically safe installation requirements |
